Marketers on furlough offered ‘golden ticket’ to learning hub
The Marketing Academy has created an online learning platform, which is available to its global community and sponsors, as well we 1,000 marketers who have been made redundant or are on furlough.
The Marketing Academy is launching a free online learning platform including masterclasses, workshops and lectures aimed at inspiring and helping to develop people working in marketing, media and advertising.
The Virtual Campus Program will host more than 24 live and interactive sessions throughout 2021, featuring well known speakers and educators. Learning zones within the platform include a leadership clinic, a skills lab and a wellness centre.
Enrolment to the Virtual Campus Program is not open to the public, but The Marketing Academy will be offering up to 1,000 ‘golden tickets’ for marketers who have been made redundant, those on furlough or people currently working on a freelance basis in the UK, Australia and US.
The Virtual Campus Program is also available to the organisation’s global community of Scholarship and Fellowship alumni, as well as mentors and coaches who will be able to enrol themselves and their teams. Marketing Academy sponsors, including KFC, Mars Wrigley and BT, will also have access.
The Marketing Academy ran more than 30 virtual learning events during 2020, which saw more than 10,000 people attend.

Earlier this week, the School of Marketing launched a mentoring initiative for young marketers whose careers have been negatively impacted as a result of the pandemic, as well as school leavers, graduates and apprentices attempting to secure their first job in marketing.
Mentoring Gen Z will provide young people with free access to virtual mentoring sessions with key marketing leaders including Direct Line Group’s managing director of marketing and digital, Mark Evans, incoming Boots CMO Pete Markey and former Unilever marketing boss Keith Weed.
